DR. ATIF BAQAI

Vascular Surgeon

Dr. Baqai completed his undergraduate education at Loyola University Chicago followed by his medical education at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in 2007.   He completed his general surgical training at the University of Illinois in 2012, and then went on to complete his fellowship in vascular and endovascular surgery at the University of Miami in 2014.  He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in both General and Vascular Surgery.  He is also a registered physician in vascular interpretation. 

 

His clinical interests include carotid artery disease, open and endovascular treatment of peripheral arterial disease, abdominal aortic aneurysms, and mesenteric vascular disease.  He is also involved in creation and maintenance of dialysis access and uses minimally invasive techniques for management of venous insufficiency and varicose veins.  

 

Dr. Baqai has grown up in Chicago but has now settled in Plano, Texas with his wife and newborn daughter.  He hopes to continue a lifelong commitment to vascular surgery and to serving the community of the greater Dallas area.
